Tata Refractories Limited, India's most modern refractories manufacturing company, was established in the year 1958 as a joint venture between TATA STEEL and Didier of Germany. Presently the company is the only commercial manufacturer of Dolomite refractories in India and is one of the few companies all over the globe to manufacture Silica refractories for Coke Ovens and Glass industries. With 19% market share and ISO-9002 certification, it has got a strong foothold in Indian and South East Asian market. Mainly catering to the core sector industries, its important customers are Integrated Steel Plants like SAIL plants, TATA STEEL and other private sector units, mini-steel plants, mild alloy steel and stainless steel producers. It also supplies refractories to non-ferrous industries like Cement, Copper, Zinc, Hydrocarbon etc.
